The Most Interesting Man in the World

I think most old married couples will agree, it’s the little things that keep the marriage ticking along. For The Spice and I, it’s our goofy inside jokes.

For example, we think the Dos Equis Commercials are a hoot. We just find them ticklishly funny.

Naturally I’ve wanted to throw a “The Most Interesting Man in the World Party” for ages. This weekend opportunity came knocking.

My family and I planned a cook out to celebrate my youngest brother’s birthday as well as my sister in law’s birthday. We split up the menu, leaving me in charge of dessert.

I tweaked a decadent recipe for chocolate avocado mousse and went on the hunt for mustache chocolate molds to jazz up the dessert a bit. Mostly to humor myself. I am fully on the band wagon with the silly mustache trend.

There right beside the mustache molds were molds in the shape of giant full lips.

What's funnier than a chocolate mustache? Chocolate lips!

That was my AHA moment.

Under the heading of the Most Interesting Family in the World I printed up small tags with an “interesting” fact about each guest. I use the term “interesting” loosely. They were mostly insiders between my brothers and myself. As with old married couples, siblings have their fair share of goofy inside jokes too.

Turn ordinary moments into "Interesting" facts about your guests.

I then slipped the notes randomly under each cup of chocolate mouse.

These decadent desserts just became a bit more interesting.

During dessert we read the tag at our place setting about either the Most Interesting Woman in the World or the Most Interesting Man in the World. We took turns guessing who the achievement was about, then heard the less thrilling version of the story.

It was a silly night.

This was truly a quick, near effortless party to throw together and a fun way to jazz up a cookout with a personal touch.

Supplies Needed:

  • Chocolate Molds
  • Single Serving Dessert
  • Knowledge of Guest’s Quirks
  • Printer
  • Scissors

That’s it. Stay happy my friends!
