Pumpkin Party

My eldest and I are cut from the same cloth…we love surprises. I think it’s the drama. The moment of being caught unaware.

I like to make surprises for people big and small. She at the tender of age of 6 does as well. So when she mentioned she would like a surprise party for he 6th birthday I was on board.

Pumpkin Party details are easy to come by in October. We hosted a joint party for 6-year-old Ava and our 9-year-old cousin Owen.

A cake for a boy and girl thanks to the Wilton Wonder Pan and a fabulous fondant recipe.  To give the Ghost more height I divided a second cake mix.  Half the batter went into a 9 inch pan. Add the other half  to the batter in the wonder mold pan for a total of 1 1/2 mixes. Bake cake for an extra 25 minutes.

We made some sill felt bean bags for a friendly “Ghost in the Pumpkin Patch” Toss. The tutorial is from Thinking Outside The Sandbox Family.
